Adult Mental Illnesses

According to the "Hong Kong Mental Health Survey 2010-2013", among adults aged 16 to 75, the prevalence rate of general mental illness is 13.3%, meaning that approximately one in seven adults is likely to suffer from mental illness. In this study, the most common adult mental illnesses were mixed anxiety and depression (6.9%), followed by generalized anxiety disorder (4.2%), depression (2.9%), and other types of anxiety disorders (1.5%), including panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
